The Raj of the Yuvraj and Dhoni's Diwali

Sachin and Sehwag are in the pavilion. Oh My God!. That's the end of India's chances in the Match. Though there are 45 overs to go, the crowd is already trickling out of the stadium....

Well, gone are the days when this used to be the situation of Indian cricket.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the party. MS Dhoni and Dynamic Yuvi have taken the bull by the horns and have emerged rhodeos of the season.

Everyone's now ga ga over Dhoni's diet, what he does at 5 am, 5:01 and 5:02 a.m. if not hourly intervals.

Yuvi, well is totally enjoying the limelight. He feels he has given the selectors a run for their money.

All this augurs well for the future of Indian cricket, and the immaculate execution at karachi was really such a treat that even my Grandmother at Mumbai was all praise for the boys.

On learning that Dhoni was from Jharkhand, she made a valid comment stating that the anti social elements (so called naxalites) from the central belt (Bihar and jharkhand. no offence meant but their numbers are rising by the day) could be moulded into good representatives for India at the Olympics, since they are adept at archery and mountain climbing.

A very interesting thought serving the dual purpose of gold medals in this medal starved country and also curbing the menace in society.

Kudos to grandma for bringing in such a perspective.

Everyone's now going over the Indian cricket team and hope this does not contribute to a change in attitude of the "boyz"

Well, Imran Khan made a really interesting comment on NDTV yesterday.

He said, and I quote " The Pakistani batsmen had a fool proof plan for successfully targetting failure and achieved it,match after match and eventually it took them the entire series to realize their folly".

He pointed fingers at Bob Woolmer, saying since Inzi lacked assertiveness, communication and overall strategy, Bob should actually force him to bat up the order, and not at #7.

As, they say, a lot of heads are on the chopping block in the Pakistani team.

Owing to the Dhoni Diwali season, there's one thing for me - My favourite Microsoft product - M S Dhoni.

in the pic above: The WIN TWINS - Dhoni and Yuvi...
